1. Assist the teacher with the curriculum and keeping the youth involved in the classroom work. Provide behavior management interventions and educational assistance.
2. Complete all appropriate admission documentation.
3. Conduct group therapy with day treatment clients with support from the family therapist.
4. Maintain client files.
5. Provide daily supervision of the youth as needed.
6. Facilitate the program during the shift, including schedules, groups, transports, and rule guidelines, attendance records, set goals with clients, monitor behaviors in the class room, conduct other clerical duties as directed, keep facility clean and organized and transport clients as needed.
7. Actively communicate with team on such issues as youth supervision guidelines, program policies, procedures and appropriate interactions with team members, as well as other issues that may arise.
8. Work one-on-one with the youth that need extra help educationally or behaviorally.
9. Effectively communicate with internal staff, DHS case manager, School District #51, Colorado West Mental Health providers, and Foster Parents/Group Home staff as necessary.
10. Accept all coaching and recommendations.
11. Assist in the training and orientation of new staff.
12. Attend all team meetings, in services and training.
13. Other duties as assigned.
