SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINERS (S.A.N.E.)

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners are available to those who wish to report sexual assaults to law enforcement. The victim is examined in a private, comfortable atmosphere by a nurse, providing support and assistance throughout the step-by-step process.

Domestic Violence Statistics

Last year, there were 49 domestic violence-related fatalities in Colorado; three were children. Firearms were used in 80% of these deaths.

Last year, approximately 5,300 Colorado women and children received shelter and 5,400 were turned away because shelters were full.
