Kiddin’ Around Special Needs Program is a unique integrated preschool and childcare program for children with behavioral, physical, emotional and/or developmental disabilities. The program offers a variety of educational and recreational activities designed to address the needs of children with a wide range of abilities. The low student-to-staff ratio provides a safe, structured environment and allows the staff to provide necessary individual attention due to the high needs of our clients. Kiddin’ Around Special Needs Program uses a team approach with public schools, Mesa Developmental Services, Mesa County Department of Human Services, and other agencies to set up and implement behavior goals. Behavior goals provide consistency in the way each team (school, parents, and Kiddin’ Around staff) approaches discipline and daily activities. Consistency benefits the children, staff, and families.

Kiddin’ Around’s special needs program also provides a fun after school and summer program for children ages 1 to 21 years. The children are provided opportunities to enhance social and self-help skills in a safe environment.

Children with special needs age 1 to 21 years are served in inclusive classrooms that provide an environment and curriculum that meets individual needs and is appropriate for all children in the classroom.
