Weekly Group Sessions
Group session topics include:
- Abstinence
- Communication and respect
- Values
- Contraceptive choices for those who are sexually active
- Decision making skills
- Family & peer relations as well as teambuilding
Case Management
A case management system is utilized to address progress towards goals. Extensive community collaboration is vital to the success of any prevention program, including Get Real.
Eligibility
Youth must meet three of the following risk factors:
- Medicaid
- Abuse or neglect history
- School problems
- Poverty
- Substance abuse history (parent or youth)
- Dysfunctional family history or relationships
