MA in Counseling - Clinical Mental Health from Adams state University

I earned my MA in Counseling – Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University in May 2025.  I am an LPCC and am currently working towards LPC Licensure. I have experience working with individuals ages 9 and up and their families. I am open and confident to work with couples. I adopt an integrated approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of histories of trauma, family dynamics, adverse childhood experiences, and social development. I am dedicated to creating a comfortable therapeutic environment where the difficult work of exploring one’s story can be met with relaxation and levity. I strive to help clients redefine the absolutes that have been internalized over the course of their lives and identify new strategies and viewpoints to meet their goals. I draw from existential theory and a background in journalism with investigative approaches to narrative therapy and motivational interviewing and often incorporate relational-cultural and cognitive-behavioral approaches, as well as Internal Family Systems. In my free time, I love to ski and go rafting. I am the chef of my household and enjoy downtime reading and playing video games.
